Your Adventure, Day by Day

The tour begins with a visit to Qoricancha, the Temple of the Sun, one of the most important sacred sites of the Inca Empire, now integrated into the Convent of Santo Domingo, where the fusion between Inca and colonial architecture can be appreciated. Then we continue to Sacsayhuamán, an impressive archaeological complex famous for its enormous stone walls perfectly assembled and its panoramic views of Cusco. We continue with Q’enqo, an Inca ceremonial center carved into rock, associated with religious and funerary rituals, with strong spiritual symbolism. Later we visit Pucapucara, known as the “red fortress,” which served as a control and rest site for travelers on the Inca road. Finally, we arrive at Tambomachay, a center dedicated to the worship of water, with canals and fountains that reflect the advanced Inca hydraulic engineering. At the end of the tour, we return to the city of Cusco, concluding a unique cultural and historical experience.

Our tour begins with pick-up from your hotel at 6:30 a.m. to head to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The first visit will be Chinchero, where you will learn about the textile center and the ancestral process of making fabrics, in addition to visiting the archaeological site with its terraces and Inca remains. We continue to Moray, an impressive complex of circular terraces used by the Incas for agricultural experimentation and the study of microclimates. Then we will visit the Maras Salt Mines, a set of salt ponds of pre-Inca origin that are still traditionally exploited, offering a unique landscape. Afterwards, we head to Urubamba, where we will enjoy a buffet lunch with local cuisine. We continue to Ollantaytambo, a majestic Inca fortress where we will walk through its terraces, temples, and original streets. Finally, we will visit Pisac, with its impressive ruins on top of the mountain and panoramic views of the valley. At the end of the tour, we return to Cusco at approximately 7:00 p.m., concluding a full day of history, culture, and landscapes of the Sacred Valley.

The adventure begins early, between 3:00 and 4:00 a.m., when our Trip in Peru team will pick you up directly from your hotel. We will travel to the train station in Ollantaytambo in a comfortable tourist vehicle, crossing Andean landscapes characteristic of the Sacred Valley. In Ollantaytambo, you will board the Tourist Train to the town of Aguas Calientes. During the journey, you can relax while enjoying the panoramic views of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Upon arriving in Aguas Calientes, our guide will be waiting for you to accompany you to the bus station. After a 30 to 40-minute ascent, you will arrive at the entrance gate of the citadel. With your ticket and identification in hand, you will enter the world wonder Machu Picchu. For approximately two hours, you will tour the most important sectors of Machu Picchu with our professional guide, such as temples, ceremonial enclosures, lookout points, and terraces. The guide will share with you the history, architecture, and symbolism of this Inca legacy. Once the tour is finished, you will board the bus back to Aguas Calientes. There you will have free time to have lunch, rest, or visit the town's artisan market. At the scheduled time, you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting to transfer you back to the city of Cusco in a tourist vehicle. The service ends with your arrival in Cusco.

We start the adventure between 4:00 and 4:30 a.m. with pick-up from your accommodation heading south of Cusco. After approximately two hours of travel, we arrive at Cusipata to enjoy breakfast. Then we continue by vehicle to the community of Llacto, the starting point of the hike. From there, we take a hike of approximately 2 hours through high Andean landscapes until we reach the Rainbow Mountain, where you will have time to enjoy the scenery, take photographs, and rest. Afterwards, we return on foot to Llacto, where the transportation awaits us. We enjoy lunch in Cusipata before returning to Cusco. Approximate arrival in the city of Cusco is at 6:00 p.m., concluding an adventure experience with unique landscapes in the Andes.

We start the adventure between 4:00 and 4:30 a.m. with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco to head south by tourist transport towards Mollepata. After approximately two hours of travel, we arrive in Mollepata, where we enjoy a local breakfast before continuing to Soraypampa, at 3,900 meters above sea level, a point from which you can see the snow-capped mountains of the area, such as Salkantay. From Soraypampa, we begin the hike of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to Humantay Lagoon, traversing Andean landscapes of great natural beauty. Upon arriving at Humantay Lagoon (4,200 meters above sea level), you will have time to rest, take photographs, and enjoy the surroundings surrounded by mountains and turquoise waters. Then we start the return by walking back to Soraypampa and continue to Mollepata, where we will enjoy a local lunch. Finally, we return to Cusco, concluding the tour after a day of nature, adventure, and impressive landscapes in the Andes.
