Your Adventure, Day by Day

We pick you up at 4:45 a.m. to go to Mollepata. We started walking in Challacancha towards our camp in Soraypampa. In the afternoon, we will do the optional hike to the famous Humantay Lagoon. Its colors will leave you speechless!

Today is the strongest day. We will climb to the Abra Salkantay (4,630 meters above sea level). You will be so close to the snow that you can touch it. After lunch in Huayracmachay, we will descend to Colpapampa, where the air becomes warmer and greener.

We will walk among coffee plantations and tropical fruits. In Lucmabamba we will prepare a delicious Pachamanca (underground food) and taste freshly roasted coffee. Then we will climb an original Inca Trail to Llactapata, where we will camp in front of Machu Picchu. The view is unbeatable!

We will go down through the jungle to the Hydroelectric station. From there, we will walk along the train track on a flat and beautiful path until we reach the town of Aguas Calientes. You will have the afternoon free to relax and have dinner at a good restaurant.

The expected day! We will go up very early to see the sunrise at Machu Picchu. You will have a 2-hour guided tour of the Inca temples and palaces. In the afternoon, we return by train to Ollantaytambo and then by our private bus to your hotel in Cusco.
