We will depart from Cusco very early, around 4:00 a.m., to begin this 2-day experience along the Inca Trail. The vehicle transfer will take us to Ollantaytambo, where you can enjoy breakfast before boarding the train to Km 104, the starting point of the walk. From there, you will travel one of the most impressive stretches of the classic Inca Trail, surrounded by Andean landscapes, abundant vegetation and a great diversity of flora and fauna. The trail begins in the Sacred Valley and ascends along ancient stone paths until reaching the archaeological complex of Wiñay Wayna, one of the most notable sites on the route. After the visit, you will enjoy a picnic lunch in the middle of a privileged natural environment.
The walk continues through the cloud forest, where you can appreciate orchids, birds and vegetation typical of the area, before reaching the emblematic Puerta del Sol. From this point you will have your first panoramic view of Machu Picchu, a truly unforgettable moment. Then, you will descend for approximately 45 minutes to the citadel, where you will tour the upper part following the established circuit and will have the opportunity to capture the classic panoramic view. At the end of the visit, you will take the bus to Aguas Calientes, where the guide will assist you with entering your hotel. You will have free time to relax, optionally visit the thermal baths, and later enjoy dinner before resting.
