Pickup at the hotel and departure from Cusco
We will start our adventure between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., with pickup from your hotel in Cusco. We will head south in our tourist vehicle on a trip of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Breakfast in Cusipata
Our first stop will be in the district of Cusipata, where we will enjoy an Andean breakfast to recharge energy before the hike.
Start of the hike to Palccoyo Mountain
After breakfast, we will continue the journey until we reach the starting point of the hike. From there, we will begin a light hike to the top of Palccoyo, an alternative mountain to Vinicunca, but with easier access and equally impressive landscapes.
Exploration of Palccoyo Mountain
At the top, you will be able to closely observe the natural pigments of the earth that give rise to the colors of the mountain. In addition, we will explore the enigmatic stone forest, admire part of the Red Valley, and, if the weather permits, see the imposing Ausangate snow-capped mountain in the background.
Buffet lunch in Cusipata
After exploring Palccoyo, we will return to Cusipata to enjoy a comforting buffet lunch.
Return to Cusco and end of the tour
Finally, we will return to Cusco, where our transportation will drop you off near the main square, thus concluding a day full of unique landscapes and memorable experiences.
