Pickup from your hotel and departure from Puno
We will start our tour with pickup from your hotel in central areas of the city of Puno, approximately between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Then we will head south of the high plateau.
Visit to the Molloco Archaeological Complex
Our first stop will be at the Chullpas of Molloco, pre-Inca funerary structures built in stone that served as tombs for high-status individuals. Some of these towers reach notable heights and are located in an impressive Andean environment.
Exploration of the Andean Waru Waru
We continue to an agricultural area where we will learn about the Waru Waru: an ancestral agricultural technique developed in flood-prone areas. These raised platforms create microclimates that protect crops from the extreme cold of the high plateau. A living example of Andean ingenuity.
Mystical center of Aramu Muru
Then we will visit the famous Aramu Muru portal, also known as the "Interdimensional Portal." This structure carved in solid rock has been for centuries a place of energy and meditation for Andean peoples. Today it is a meeting point for spiritual travelers from around the world, due to its powerful connection with nature and the mystical.
Free lunch in Chucuito
We will stop in the charming town of Chucuito, where you will have free time for lunch. Here you can choose from a variety of local dishes and enjoy the hospitality of Puno families (lunch not included).
Visit to the Temple of Fertility
After lunch, we will visit the Temple of Fertility, an ancient archaeological site that houses stone phallic sculptures. This place is believed to have been used in ceremonies to ask for fertility and abundance. A space full of symbolism that reveals part of the Aymara worldview.
Return to Puno
We conclude our experience by returning to the city of Puno. We will arrive at approximately 6:00 p.m., closing a day full of history, ancestral wisdom, and spiritual connection.
